Saved Sounds for TikTok (the "extension"). Last updated 24 October 2026.

This extension is made by an independent developer (alivzxc). It is unofficial and not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by TikTok or ByteDance. "TikTok" is a trademark of its owner and is used only to describe what the extension works with.

The short version

What the extension reads, and where it goes

Your TikTok saved sounds. When you open the extension on tiktok.com, it asks TikTok for your saved-sounds list using the same request TikTok's own website uses, with your existing TikTok login. The result is shown to you and cached in your browser's local extension storage. It is never sent to the developer or any third party.

Audio. To draw a sound's waveform, the extension downloads that sound's audio from TikTok's own servers and analyses it inside your browser. Nothing is uploaded.

Things you create. Playlists, hidden sounds, tags, notes, theme choices, a local listening log used for the optional "recap" image, and similar settings are stored locally with chrome.storage.local. You can export a backup in Settings, and removing the extension from Chrome deletes this local data.

Chrome sync (optional, Pro). If you switch on cross-device sync, those items are copied to chrome.storage.sync, which Chrome stores in your Google account under Google's policies. The developer cannot see it.

Contact with the developer's server

The extension contacts one server run by the developer (a Cloudflare Worker at tss-licence.alivzxc.workers.dev) for two things:

  1. Sponsor list. The extension downloads a small public list of current sponsors (name, tagline, logo, link). The request contains no identifier or personal data. Like any web request, it exposes your IP address to the server and to Cloudflare, which hosts it.
  2. Pro licence (only if you buy or activate Pro). Activating a licence key sends the key, which is tied to a Stripe payment reference, and a random browser identifier the extension generates for itself. About once a week the extension sends its signed licence token to renew it. The server checks the payment with Stripe (to see it was paid and not refunded) and stores only a short list of random browser identifiers for each payment, to enforce the limit of 3 browsers. It does not store your name, email address, IP address or browsing data.

Payments are handled entirely by Stripe on its own page; the extension and the developer never see your card details. Stripe's receipt email and payment records are held by Stripe under its own privacy policy.

Requests are protected by a rate limit, which uses your IP address transiently inside Cloudflare's systems; the developer does not receive or keep it.

Sponsors and links

Free users may see clearly labelled "Sponsored" items. They are plain images and links supplied by the developer and contain no scripts. The developer does not track clicks. If you click a sponsor, a Ko-fi or other link, you leave the extension and that website's own privacy policy applies.

Permissions the extension uses

The extension does not use remote code, does not read other websites, and does not collect your browsing history.

Your choices and rights

You can use the free features without ever contacting the licence server beyond the sponsor list. You can remove all local data by uninstalling the extension (or clearing its site data in Chrome). Browsers registered to a licence can be freed at /devices on the licence server. If you are in the UK or EU you have rights to access, correct and delete personal data; because the developer holds almost none, the practical request is to ask us to delete your payment-reference record. Contact: message the developer through ko-fi.com/alivzxc.

Children

The extension is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date above will change, and material changes will be mentioned in the extension's release notes.
